Product center details

Proxel CMC is a highly effective, low-toxicity biocide developed by Oki for use in emulsion paints, polymer emulsions, pigment pastes and aqueous coatings; it can also be used to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi in the production and storage of printing inks and other organic products containing water. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the registration of Proxel CMC as an in-can preservative for waterborne paints and coatings. Numerous experiments and practical applications have demonstrated that Proxel CMC has excellent bactericidal and preservative properties for acrylic acid, polyvinyl acetate, butyl polystyrene, and other copolymers, and has excellent compatibility with the organic and inorganic components of these products.

Proxel CMC recommended use.
Proxel CMC biocide products are supplied in liquid form and are easy to mix. Proxel CMC can be added directly to the grinding or paint mixing process. To ensure uniform dispersion after the addition of Proxel CMC, the emulsion and waterborne lacquer must be well mixed.
Proxel CMC should be used in alkaline systems with pH value less than 9 and in systems with temperature not exceeding 40°C (up to 60°C for a short period) to achieve the product effect.
Water-based coatings: 0.05 to 0.167%, i.e. 0.5 to 1.67 liters of Proxel CMC per ton of product.
Polymer emulsions: 0.05 to 0.33%, i.e. 0.5 to 3.3 liters of Proxel CMC per ton of product.
Proper use of Proxel CMC has the following advantages over the use of other fungicides.

Broad-spectrum bactericidal action: Inhibits both bacteria and fungi.
Low cost: The cost (effective use concentration) is lower than the general market for germicidal preservatives, and easy to use.
Non-toxic at recommended use concentrations, and contains no formaldehyde or formaldehyde release products.
Excellent physical and chemical compatibility.
Low effective activity concentration, friendly to the environment.
Packaging and storage.
20 kg/drum. Please store Proxel CMC in an airy room at room temperature.
Proxel CMC is stable for at least one year at normal storage temperatures.

Diluted use concentration: No skin sensitization

Environmental Decomposition: Rapid and complete decomposition to harmless substances
Environmental risk: harmless
This product is harmless at the use concentration, but before dilution, this product is corrosive and can cause eye damage or can burn the skin. These symptoms may not become apparent until several hours later. This product may also cause allergic skin reactions before dilution.
Handling Safety Precautions
Do not inject into eyes and do not stain skin or clothing. Wear goggles and rubber gloves when using to avoid inhaling product vapors and mist droplets. Do not take this product orally. Wash well after handling.
First Aid Measures
If eyes are accidentally contaminated with this product, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold your eyes open with your hands while rinsing and take to a hospital for examination and treatment immediately after rinsing. If skin is accidentally contaminated with this product, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. After rinsing, you must wash the whole body with soap. The clothes you are wearing must be washed before you can wear them again. If the product is accidentally swallowed and the swallower is still conscious, give the swallower two large glasses of water to dilute the product in the intestine. Then seek immediate medical attention. If the swallowed person is unconscious, do not give anything orally.

Industrial in-can preservative ROCIMATM 623

Introduction.
ROCIMATM623 is a liquid mixture of anticorrosive active substances. It has a good anticorrosive effect on water-based products such as dispersion-type paints, emulsion paints, glues, cutting oils, thickeners, emulsions and similar base materials, and has anticorrosive activity when the water phase and vapor are the same.
ROCIMATM623 can inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi in closed systems at low cost.
Composition.
Chloromethylisothiazolinone / Mixture of methylisothiazolinone and formaldehyde

Miscibility/solubility: It can be mixed with water, lower alcohols, diols and glycol ethers in any ratio to form a clear solution.
Compatibility: Even in the presence of heavy metal salts, ROCIMATM623 has no tendency to form colored complexes. It is incompatible with substances sensitive to aldehydes.
Stability: Temperature: up to 40°C (for short periods up to 60°C)
pH range: 4-9.
Toxicity: LD50 value of 4,781 mg/kg (theoretical value)
Range of application and anticorrosive activity.
ROCIMATM 623 is particularly suitable for in-tank corrosion protection in aqueous dispersion or emulsification systems. It can be added at any stage of the production process. If production conditions allow, it is recommended that a sufficient amount of ROCIMATM623 be added at the initial stage of production.
ROCIMATM623 consists of long-lasting anticorrosive active substances that provide long-lasting protection for both the aqueous and vapor phases.
Whether aerobic or anaerobic, ROCIMATM623 is very effective in inhibiting the growth of various bacteria, and it is also effective in inhibiting the growth of yeasts and molds in application areas. Since the variety of industrial products requiring corrosion protection is growing rapidly, it is not possible for biocide suppliers to test the compatibility of the product with all raw materials in each formulation, but it is necessary to pre-test the compatibility of ROCIMATM623 with some specific raw materials.
ROCIMATM623 meets the recommendations of the German Joint Association for Consumer Goods and Pharmaceutical Health Protection (BgVV).
XIV Synthetic dispersants for coating products in accordance with Part 5, Chapter 1, Section 1 of the Food and Commodity Code

Dosage.
The amount of ROCIMATM 623 to be added depends on the degree of contamination of the raw material and its compatibility with the product to be protected. Contamination and compatibility fluctuate seasonally, so regular measurement of microbial counts can help to select the appropriate dosage. The following ranges of dosage levels are listed for reference only.
Base material 0.05-0.15%
Dispersion coatings, glue solutions 0.1-0.5%

Use and handling.
Before using this product, please refer to the product safety data sheet and handle in strict accordance with the operating procedures.
Operators need to have basic technical and professional knowledge of the use and handling of industrial chemicals.
As a general rule, to avoid eye and skin contact with the product, safety goggles, gloves and protective clothing should be worn. In the event of accidental contact with eyes or skin, flush immediately with plenty of warm water and receive medical attention if necessary.
When using and handling this product, be sure to comply with the relevant laws and regulations of your country.
Packaging and storage: 20 kg/drum.
ROCIMATM623 should be stored as cold as possible in the original closed container, but not below 0°C. When the storage temperature is below 0°C, the product will freeze and solidify, but will not affect its anticorrosive activity. When the temperature returns to room temperature, the product will become liquid again and can continue to be used after stirring well without affecting the anticorrosive effect.
